Lecture and outdoor observation "Discover with your five senses! The journey and wisdom of fruits and seeds" (Senior Assistant Professor: Taeko Tada)
Plants cannot move, but they pack life information into small, sturdy capsules called seeds, which they then transport through space and time by being carried by the wind, attaching to animals or humans, or wrapping them in fruit flesh and swallowing them. Autumn is the season for travel. Let's take a look at how plants prepare for their journey.
In the second half of the tour, explore the gardens, focusing on the "Mother and Child Forest" area, and search for berries and seeds. Observe the flowers and leaves with all your senses. If you also pay attention to the insects, birds, and fungi that live in association with plants, your interest and understanding will expand even further. Why not enjoy the exciting autumn in this urban oasis?
