Overview

In order to maintain both national and international peace and security, the Government of Japan, in cooperation with international governments, forms international framework (International Export Control Regime) and controls exports of military sensitive goods and technologies, including relevant dual-use goods and technologies to governments and persons with potential threat to the world peace.
In Japan, the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act (the Act) controls exporting goods and transferring technologies including weapon of mass destruction.
In the course of increasing international exchanges and research collaboration with overseas institutions, academic institutions including universities are no exceptions. Appropriate export control of goods and technologies are strongly requested by MEXT, METI, MOFA and other government agencies.
At TUAT, for the smooth execution of the security export control, we have enforced Security Export Control Regulation on August 1, 2013 and established Security Export Control Section within the International Affairs Office. Export control at TUAT will provide support to promote international exchange and development of research and educational activities.
Please read below for further details and thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation to follow necessary procedures.
